“Joe!” Nick called out. “Do you remember Candy, from the plane?”
“Hm?” Joe called back. Nick and Candy walked into the room where Joe and Kevin Jonas were sitting.
“Hi Joe! Hi Kevin! I’m Candy!” Candy said excitedly. She had forgotten that she needed to go to the toilet.
“Ahh, Candy, the one who was with Holly,” Joe said. “Yes, I remember.”
He chuckled.
Candy was speechless.
“Holly, how are you feeling?” Lauren asked.
“Fine,” Holly said dreamily.
“In that case, let me call your friends back, and you can leave,” Lauren said. She picked up the phone, called the front desk, and then made an announcement over the loudspeaker.
“Gabe, I’m afraid you’re going to have to stay in here a little longer,” Lauren said merrily.
“Just a quick announcement that Holly is feeling fine. Can her friends please come to the First Aid tent to collect her. Ask for Lauren at the front desk, thank you,” a voice over the loudspeaker said.
“Do they mean our Holly?” Jai asked.
“Probably,” Annabelle shrugged.
“Let’s go then,” Scott said.
“What?” Cherry laughed.
“I mean… I don’t know!” Scott said.
“Okay …I am so lost at the moment,” Charlotte laughed.
“Don’t worry, me too,” Jeremy said.
“Was I talking to you, Jeremy?” Charlotte said coldly.
“I was assuming you were talking to everyone, Charlotte,” Jeremy said back.
“Ooooooooooh!” Neil said. Charlotte threw him a cold look.
“I’d so laugh if Candy walked into a Jonas Brother,” Marla laughed. “She wouldn’t know what to do!”
“Yeah, she’d probably just stand there and stare at him,” Pheobe snickered.
Corey laughed. Liam, who had come back a couple of minutes ago, looked sick.
Bianca and Daniel took no notice of the conversation.
“I really would laugh if that happened though!” Marla said.
“Oh my god, imagine if she comes back and she’s like all giggly,” Pheobe rolled her eyes. “Oh what are we going to do?” she said dramatically.
Corey, Liam and Marla rolled their eyes. Obviously, Pheobe was moody again.
After Annabelle and Jai had left with Holly, Lauren sat down on the bed next to Gabe.
“Gabe,” Lauren said. “It’s too hard.”
Gabe looked at her, “What’s too hard, Lauren?”
“Being a nurse,” she said, looking him in the eyes. He moves closer to her.
“Then why don’t you quit?” he whispered.
“I like working here too much,” she held her breath.
He moved closer, and then kissed her. She kissed him back, of course, she liked him too much to refuse. Little did the two of them know, was that Holly had come back to get her phone, which had fallen out of her pocket in the room. She had seen what had happened. They were still kissing, and she was just watching. Biting her lip in fury, she knocked loudly, and walked straight in. Lauren and Gabe broke apart. Holly picked up her phone and nearly ran out of the room.
“Holly?” Gabe called after her.
Sobbing could be heard outside the door.
Gabe and Lauren looked at each other.
“Uh-oh,” Lauren said.
At the Jonas Brother’s concert, everyone was bored.
“Hey, let’s text someone, just to annoy them,” Corey laughed.
“Good idea, darling, you do it!” Marla giggled.
Corey pulled out his phone, “But who to text?”
“Text … uh...Charlotte, or someone,” Marla suggested.
“But I don’t have her number,” Corey said. “You text her.”
“Oh fine!” Marla laughed. “Hey Charlotte, JB concert so boring. How’s Cobra? See ya. Love you bye,” she muttered as she typed the words into her phone. “Okay, sent!” she smiled.
“Huh?” Charlotte said. “Oooh! A message!”
“Oooh! From who?” Cherry asked curiously.
“Your lover?” Scott put in cheekily.
Charlotte shot him a cold look. Scott pretended to look scared.
“One message from Marla: ‘Hey Charlotte, JB concert so boring. How’s Cobra? See ya. Love you bye.’ Uh…okay!” Charlotte laughed.
“Why don’t you text back saying …hm …” DJ thought out-loud.
Charlotte ignored him, and started to mumble what she was typing into her phone. “Hey Marla. Cobra hasn’t started yet. Lol to JB. Told you so. Holly fainted. Love you bye.”
Marla gasped as she read the text message that she had just received. “Holly fainted,” she whispered.
“What?” Pheobe shouted over the noise of the screams, and over the song ‘Love Bug’.
“Holly fainted!” Marla nearly shouted.
“You’re kidding me,” Bianca stated shortly.
“No, I’m not kidding anyone!” Marla said vehemently.
“But, maybe Charlotte is kidding you,” Corey said kindly.
“Why would she though? She and Holly are friends!” Marla said, gasping for breath.
“We should get out of here,” Daniel said sensibly.
“HOLLY!” Charlotte yelled as soon as she saw Holly in between Annabelle and Jai, walking towards their spot on the grass.
Charlotte stopped short of them, seeing that Holly’s face was white, and that there were tears running down her face.
“What’s wrong?” Charlotte asked her cousin.
Jai grimaced, and said quietly, “Maybe you shouldn’t ask her this right now.”
“Ahh, okay,” Charlotte took on the hint, and walked quietly back with them.
Scott caught Charlotte’s eye, and she shook her head at him, indicating that she didn’t know what was wrong, and for him not to ask.
Candy came back to the group, smiling so wide that her face hurt.
“Uh-oh, please don’t tell me that your theory is correct, Marla,” Pheobe groaned.
“Guess what guys!?” Candy said happily when she reached them.
“You met the Jonas Brothers?” Marla asked warily. She just wanted to get out of here, to go and see how Holly is.
“OH-MY-GOD! Marla, you are psychic!” Candy screamed.
“Huh?” Marla just said, impatiently.
“I did go and see the Jonas Brothers,” Candy said dreamily.
“Okay, who cares!?” Bianca shouted angrily. “Pish posh to the Jonas Brothers.”
At that moment, Joe, Nick and Kevin came into view, all in disguise of course.
“Come on, let’s get away from this shitty concert, and find out what happened to Holly,” Daniel said madly.
Joe and Nick turned to each other, and exchanged glances. “What?” Kevin mouthed to them.
They turned angrily around and went back on stage.
No one from the group on the grass noticed. They just pulled Candy over to a nearby cab and told him to take them all home.
An announcement came on, and interrupted all their thoughts.
“I am so sorry to say that the Cobra Starship concert cannot continue today, as Gabe Saporta has a sore throat, and cannot sing tonight. Please can you all go home, and we will contact you, and tell you the details of when the next concert is going to be. Those with backstage passes, please go backstage immediately. Thank you.”
A lot of booing was heard in the venue.
